‘Heidis Land’ is about the zone between clichées and reality. Clichés are built up over a long time and they infiltered our imaginations, thinkings and views on a country or culture. ‘Heidis Land’ is a confrontation of the clichés in my mind and the reality as i live and feel it. ‘Heidis Land’ deals with the perception of Switzerland the Swiss like to convey, and the tourists likes to see.

We invited the young afghanian photographers Farzana Wahidy and Massoud Hossaini to neunplus to have a talk about photography in Afghanistan and the conditions for photo-journalists to work there.
They are both in Berlin for the exhibition: “Unfinished Business - Afghanistan aus dem Blick des Anderen” at Urania.
The talk will be at Saturday, 12.04., 6pm at neunplus
Guests are wellcome, but should write us a mail if they`d like to participate.

Die Intention der Serie “Wading” ist der Versuch, die Anrainerstaaten des Schwarzen Meeres als geografischen Ort aus seinem historischen und gesellschaftlichen Kontext herauszulösen und in assoziativen Einzelbildern wiederzugeben.
Andreas Pein, 1970 geb; seit 1995 Realisierung diverser fotografischer Projekte; diverse Ausstellungen in Deutschland, Polen, Frankreich, Russland; lebt und arbeitet in Berlin

neunplus will do a pre-christmas-photography-auction. neunplus is a non-profit organization and all members are covering the costs of the gallery. In order to improve our financial situation at the end of the year caused by increasing operation expenses we have to fix this hole and decided to organize a photography auction.

With the series ALIBI neunplus presents the latest works of Thorsten Kirchhoff, member and supporter of our collective. The pictures appear to be far removed from reality and the present in a strange way. Time and place seem to disappear in these black-and-white photographies – the photographer moves with the camera through timeless and indefinable spaces.

At the moment we`re seaching for new photographers who want to join our collective.
We are looking for a team player who is willing to put some energy in collective projects and exhibitions. The quality and output of the own photographical work is important for us too.

On October 26th and 27th there will be the third “youth in the countryside”-workshop.
We will have an official presentation of the project on Saturday, 27.10, 8pm at neunplus.
We`ll show a screening of the project and after that there will be a get together with music, drinks and room for questions and discussions.
We will also show the neunplus-slideshow that Thierry Kleiner (tangophoto) was curating and producing for the slidenight at Progr last month in Bern.
