Anouk Kruithof ( b. 1981) is a Dutch artist working with the medium photography.
Currently she is as an artist in residence in Berlin at Kuenstlerhaus Bethanien with a grant from the Netherlands foundation for visual arts, design and architecture (BKVB).
In her solo exhibition at neunplus she shows some works out of The Black Hole project,
which she was working on from 2004 till 2006 in coorporation with Jaap Scheeren.
The duo photographed series individually and together about depression, black-outs, the
universe and actual black holes, and interviewed several experts in various fields, such as
psychiatrists, astronomers and biologists.
With the dummy of their book, Scheeren and Kruithof were the first winners of the Unique
Photography Prize awarded by HUP Gallery Amsterdam and Kwak & Van Daalen & Ronday.
Exhibitions at FOAM (Photography Museum Amsterdam), MAMAC (Museum for modern and
contemporary art in Liege), ACP Syndey and Jakarta (Erasmushuis) followed.

In the other room Anouk Kruithof will present recent work she made during her stay in Berlin.
